Has your group turned in your E-19 Day 2 half sheet of questions (E-19-18 Day 2 pr)? Tuesday, December 18th – READ the E-4 Using the Bunsen Burner Lab Sheet (E-04-15 ls), then, go into Google Classroom and complete the Prelab Quiz. Then, draw and label the SIX parts on the bunsen burner as directed in Data Table #1 and show me TODAY! You may use these three pictures to assist you … Bunsen Burner 1, Bunsen Burner 2, and Bunsen Burner 3.

Wednesday, December 19th – Do the E-4 Using the Bunsen Burner Lab and discuss results. Complete the questions on your study sheet but DO NOT turn them in today.

Thursday, December 20th – NO SCHOOL. WINTER BREAK.

Peoria River City Classic 12/1/18

On Saturday, December 1st, members of the MHS JV Academic Team competed in the River City Classic Tournament at Peoria High School. Congratulations to the team captained by Grace Wickwire and including Ben Aumuller, Charlie Poor, Martin Poor, Landon Reed, and Kaeleen Smith on their 2nd place finish! Way to go team!

Wednesday, November 28th – Get your E-19 Prelab stamped if you haven’t. Continue the E-18 Notes on the Note Sheet (dilution formula). Check the E-18 basic molarity equation practice problems. Homework: READ the E-18 Study Sheet, complete the dilution formula odd practice problems 11-17, and fill out the second half of the E-18 Molarity Small Magic Square (due Thurs).

Thursday, November 29th – Finish the E-18 Notes on the Note Sheet (molality formula). Check the E-18 dilution formula odd practice problems. Homework: READ the E-18 Study Sheet and complete the molality formula odd practice problems 1-8 (due Fri).

Friday, November 30th – Check the E-18 molality formula odd practice problems. Do E-19 Lab Day 1 and complete Data Table lines 1- 6. Get Day 1 Data checked, copied onto the group E-19 Lab Worksheet, and turned in TODAY (E-19-18 wksht)! Homework: Begin the E-18 Dark Magic Square (E-18-18 dmsh)(due Wed).

Curtis Butterfield JV Scholastic Bowl 11/10/18

Last Saturday, Varsity Coach, Holly Anderson, and the MHS Varsity Academic Team hosted the Curtis Butterfield Memorial JV Scholastic Bowl.

Both of the MHS JV Academic Teams coached by Kim Anderson made it to the afternoon championship rounds.

Congratulations to the A team captained by Grace Wickwire and including Connor Houtekier, Charlie Poor, Martin Poor, and Landon Reed on placing 3rd AND congratulations to the B team captained by Kaeleen Smith and including Ben Aumuller, Natali Chung, Sebastian Dee, Grace Finney, and Sam Schwartz for placing 7th.

Individual congratulations to Charlie Poor and Kaeleen Smith, MHS’s most valuable players. Great job, all!
